William Robert Greene, 62

William Robert Greene, 62, of Golden Valley, died Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

He was the son of Martha Faye Panther of Golden Valley, and the late Charles Lewis Greene. He had worked at IMC in Shelby and Mastercraft for many years. 

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Greene; his daughter, Brittany Locklair and her husband Jeremy of Ellenboro; his sons, Robert Greene and his wife Hannah, of Rutherfordton, and Charles Greene of Ellenboro; his sister, Ann Grayson Brandle of Sunshine; and his grandchildren, Cameron Brooks, Emma Brooks, Aubrey Bradley, Colton Greene, Bailey Greene, and Dutton Greene; and a nephew, Calder Grayson. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. David Ledford will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Junior Suttles, Robert Greene, Calder Grayson, Rick Chapman, Charles Greene, and Cameron Brooks. 

The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
