Walter Burke, 79

Walter Leonard Burke, of Bostic, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

He was the widower of Margaret Ford Burke, and a son of the late Earl and Ruby Parris Burke.

He is survived by 3 sons, Jerry Burke and his wife Wendi of Forest City, Ronnie Ford and his wife Terri of Rutherfordton, and Don Ford and his wife Mary of Bostic; his daughter, Kathy Ford of Concord; his brothers, Reid Burke and his wife Kat, and Allen Burke, all of Chesnee; his sisters, Evelyn Ellis of Cliffside, and Rita Waddell of Chesnee; there are 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul White, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Burke, Walt Steed, Jonathon Sheldon, Jonathon Burke, Nicholas Burke, and Scott Jones.

The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
