Von Edward Hutchins, 72

Von Edward Hutchins, 72, of Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

He was the son of the late Edward and Ettie Hutchins. Von was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church, and had retired from Overnite/UPS Freight.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Vickers Hutchins; his daughter, Joni Hutchins Moss and her husband Kevin of Shelby; his sons, Brad Edward Hutchins  and his wife Suzanne of Rutherfordton, and Andrew Reeves Hutchins  and his wife Katelyn of Union Mills; there are 5 grandchildren, Karlie Ann Moss, Ty Edward Hutchins, Meghan Renee Moss, Hank Durham Hutchins, and Harlow Shoals Hutchins; and his brother, Tommy Hutchins of Union Mills.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brandon Wood and Rev. Tom Runyon will officiate.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.  Pallbearers are Brad Hutchins, Andy Hutchins, Ty Hutchins, Hank Hutchins, Elvis Martin, and Kevin Moss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
