Vera Toney

Mrs. Vera Stringer Toney, 82, of Bostic, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Holly Springs Nursing Home.
She was the widow of Joe Hunter Toney. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Alvirtie Willis Stringer, and was also preceded in death by her siblings, Freeda Smith, Eva Shehan, Norman Stringer, Nancy Moore, and Anita Walker. Vera was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sarah Laughter and her husband Arthur, of Bostic; and a son, Billy Toney and his wife Mary Kate, of Bostic; there are 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at Mountain View Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Toney and Rev. Jason Toney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Paul White, Jr., officiating. Pallbearers will be Tyler Roach, Seth Laughter, Brad Dalton, Keith Ezell, Johnny Lovelace, and Gene Hunt.
The Visitation will be from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm Friday at the church prior to the service. The body will lie state during the visitation hour.
