Mr. Troy Lee McFarland, 60, 0f the Duncan's Creek Community, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Henderson Care Center.
He was the son of the late Roy and Ruby DeBrule McFarland. He was a member of Duncan's Creek Presbyterian Church and enjoyed woodworking. He retired years ago from Drexel Heritage.
He is survived by his brother, Devone McFarland and his wife Linda; and his sister, Adrene Greene and her husband L.V., all of the Duncan's Creek Community; a niece, Sandy Greene of Durham.
The Funeral will be held at 3 pm Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Duncan's Creek Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Ron Brauer, Rev. Phil Bailey, Pastor Bert Sigmon, and Pastor Bart Shaw will officiate. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Ron Gurley, Clifford Toney, Ron Cantrell, Don Cantrell, Billy McFarland, Johnny Lovelace, Johnny Lavender, and Wayne Gettys.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
