Steven Lee Greene, 76

Steven Lee Greene, 76, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

He was the son of the late Willford L. "Jack" Greene and Mary Ann Steyer Greene. Steve was a member of Walls Baptist Church, where he had served as Deacon; and the church training director; served as a teacher; RA leader and multiple committees. He worked at Harris-Teeter for over 40 years, and with his father at Discount Tire for 10 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Dodson Greene; his son, Christopher Steven Greene and his wife Ashley; his daughter, Allyson Greene Mott and her husband Bill, all of Ellenboro; his grandchildren, Madilynn "Maddie" Greene, and Izabella "Izzie" Greene; niece Bridgett Jones Ashworth and her husband David, and their children Taylor and Iliana; niece Alisha Jones Lynn and husband Jeff, and their children Ethan and Josh; and numerous cousins. 

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Walls Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Causby and Rev. Jimmy Black will officiate. Urn burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 4 pm until 6 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
