Sheila Boone Wells, 68

Sheila Boone Wells, 68, of the Cane Creek Community, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Tillman and Mary Boone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra Deal and Teresa Harvey; and a brother, Jim Boone. Sheila was the coowner of Oakland Feed & Seed for 22 years. She never met a stranger and cherished her friends she made along the way. Her pride and joy was her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 50 years, Earl Wells; her sister Juanita Bradford and her husband Alan, of Freeport, FL; her brother, RT Boone and his wife Denise, of Morganton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Cane Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Camp, Jr. will officiate. 

The Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 1:45 pm Saturday in the church Family Life Center prior to the service. 

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
