Sammy Romney, 22

Sammy Romney, 22, of Ellenboro, died Monday, October 27, 2025.

Sammy was the son of Edward Romney of Ellenboro, and the late Cheri Montique Spears Skidmore. He was a supervisor at Ed's Pallet World, and recently had been managing their Chesnee location. He hosted a popular YouTube channel, "Small Town Sammy". Everyone that knew Sammy knew his favorite place was fishing at Laughter Pond in Mill Spring. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother Logan Romney of Ellenboro; his sisters, Nessa Romney and Elyana Romney of Ellenboro; and Sabrina Hardin and her husband Chris, of Sandy Mush; his stepmother, Tracy Allison;  and his aunt, Elizabeth Romney Propst and her husband Randy, of Mooresboro. 

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 4:30 pm Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Robert Crawford will officiate. 

The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3:45 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
