Rita Byers Walker, 69

Mrs. Rita Byers Walker, 69, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at CHC Cleveland.
She was the daughter of the late T.P. and Willie Mae Beaver Byers, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Gertie Tesseneer, and a brother, Wendill Byers.
Rita is survived by her sons, Rodney Walker and Barbara, of Rutherfordton, and Jamie Walker and Tina, of Kings Mountain; her brother, Wayne Byers and wife Judi, of Ellenboro; her 4 sisters, Brenda Carter and husband Jerry, Kay Wilson, and Louann Bennett and husband Jerry, all of Ellenboro, and Connie Lavender of Hampton, FL; her sister-in-law, Sandra Byers of Rutherfordton; her grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, Amber Martin, and Jamie Walker; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Tanner, Callie, and Olivia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Gantt's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ad Hopper and Rev. Robert Lane will officiate. Pallbearers are Steven Bennett, Randy Bennett, Scott Carter, Timmy Tesseneer, Joey Lavender, and Kevin Lavender.
The Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
