Mr. Ralph Boyce Jackson, 94, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, April 18, 2020.
He was the widower of Hazel Burnett Jackson, and a son of the late Fletcher and Gussie Bridges Jackson. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Philbeck, and a great grandson, Joshua Hoyle. Boyce had retired from Stonecutter many years ago.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Bennett and Debra Mauney, both of Rutherfordton; his 6 grandchildren, Brenda Philbeck, Dana Dobbins and Marty, Donna Hoyle and Steve, John Bennett Jr. and Brenda, Jeff Mauney and Catherine, Melissa Owens and Jonathan; his great grandchildren, Dusty Carpenter and Amanda, Kaitlyn Philbeck, Kyle Dobbins, Adam Dobbins, Breanna Dobbins, Morgan Hodge and Thadd, Skyler Hoyle, Natalie Bennett, Summer Bennett, Autumn Bennett, Alayna Mauney, Reva Upton and Caleb, Seairra Parker, Hunter Owens, and Peyton Owens; his great great grandchildren, Wesley Carpenter, Ethan Gamble, Mackenzie Philbeck, Karsyn Moore, Hynleigh Moore, Liam Dobbins, Boone Hodge, Bonnie Hodge, Bella Hodge, and Luke Upton.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherfordton. The Rev. Raymond Byrd will officiate. Pallbearers are Johnny Bennett, Jeff Mauney, Hunter Owens, Kyle Dobbins, and Adam Dobbins.
Boyce will lie in state from 1 pm until 5 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home for those who wish to come by and sign the register book.
