Phillis Ann Queen Newman, 74
Ms. Phillis Ann Queen Newman, 74, of Tampa, FL, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Edison Queen and Katie Mae Crow Queen.
She is survived by her two brothers, Jerry Lloyd Queen and wife Marilyn, of Golden Valley, and Koehler Simpson Queen of Greenville, NC; and her sister, Sharon Queen Clark of Rutherfordton; there are two nephews, Christopher Monroe Queen and Gregory Benton Queen, as well as two nieces, Katherine Taylor Bringolf and Whitney Jane Reed; and three great nieces, Gabriella Ashlyn Queen, Isabella Katlyn Queen, and Peyton Lillie Queen.
The family is planning a private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Broad Baptist Church in Golden Valley, 2470 NC Hwy 226, Bostic, NC 28018.
Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
