Geneva Atchley Wilson, 88

Geneva Atchley Wilson, 88, of Forest City, died Friday, December 24, 2021.

She was the widow of W.B. Wilson,Jr., and a daughter of the late Robert and Pannie Freeman Atchley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Kimbrell, Lennie Jones, and Johnnie Sue Conner; and her brothers, Ray Atchley, Glenn Atchley, and Charles Atchley. Geneva was an active member of First Baptist Church of Bostic, where she was active in the WMU, the nursery, visited many church shut-ins, and worked in the church office. She was an avid southern gospel music fan.

She is survived by her son, Robert Wilson and his wife Cindy, of Forest City; her grandchildren, Dr. Matt Wilson and his wife Kristin, and Kristy Bonner and her husband Dr. Austin Bonner; her step grandchildren, Lindsay Rice and her husband Bill, and Matt Hoagland and his wife Celia; there are 3 great grandchildren, Maddie Grace Bonner, Jacob Bonner, and Sophie Kay Wilson; and 3 step great grandchildren, Lily Rice, Evelyn Rice, and Waylen Hoagland.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Bostic. The Rev. Clay Earle will officiate, and Robert Wilson, Dr. Matt Wilson, and Kristy Bonner will provide eulogies. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Derek Bonner, Dr. Austin Bonner, David Hodge, Adam Horn, Matt Hoagland, and Dr. Matt Wilson.

The Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
