Pamela Darlene Lowery, 63

Pamela Darlene Lowery, 63, of Ellenboro, died Sunday, February 13, 2022.

She was the daughter of Hazel Lowery of Rutherfordton and the late Garland Briscoe Lowery, Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Joanna Mathis. Pamela worked for many years in the Rutherford County School system as a teacher's assistant and loved working with children. Her last position was at Sunshine Elementary School. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Adam Wayne Mathis of Asheville; her grandson Felix, who lived with her in Ellenboro; her brothers Garland B. "Pete" Lowery and his wife Kathi, of Bostic, and Douglas  Lowery of Ellenboro; and her sister, Jill Lowery of Rutherfordton; nephews, Cory Lowery of Bostic, and Joel Lowery and his wife Emily of Baton Rouge,LA. 

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Connor and Rev. Ad Hopper will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
