Ola Mae Ramsey
Mrs. Ola Mae Ramsey, 87, of Sunshine, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Sigmon White, and was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. She was a great mother, wife and grandmother. Ola was a seamstress and gardener, and a lover of life and all of God's creations.
Left to cherish her memory, are her husband of 68 years, Carmen M Ramsey; three daughters, Dallas Powell of Morganton, Jennie Smith of Sunshine, and Glenda Cook of Casar; two sons, Monroe Ramsey of Sunshine and Gilbert Ramsey of Rutherfordton; Ola leaves a great legacy of 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, who loved her dearly.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2014 at Cooper Springs Congregational Holiness Church. Rev. Gene Crain and Rev. Jack Crain will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Yelton officiating. Pallbearers are Matthew Ramsey, Questus Trumble, Keith Shore, Tony Lovelace, Ethan Lovelace, Robert Mote, and Johnny Ruppe.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Thursday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
