Nellie Murray Moore, 87

Nellie Murray Moore, 87, of Sunshine, died Saturday, December 24, 2022.

She was the widow of James Bowman Moore, and a daughter of the late Horace Pink Murray and Foye Lane Murray. Nellie was a teacher in 5th and 6th grades at Sunshine School from 1969 to 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bostic and in her later years a volunteer with Red Cross Disaster Relief.

She is survived by her sons, Lewis Moore and Jeff Moore, both of Sunshine; her daughter, Norma Moore of Sunshine; her sisters, Georgia Morris of Bostic and Francis Benson of Garfield, MN; and her brother, Jimmy Murray of Kings Mountain.

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Bostic. The Rev. Clay Earle will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Darryl Murray, Wayne Murray, Phillip Murray, Adam Murray, Seth Murray and Mitchell Melton.

The Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm Wednesday in the church prior to the service.
