Morris J. Bridges, 87, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
He was the son of the late Clain and Luna Bridges. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joann Putnam Bridges; and his son, Kenneth Bridges; and 2 brothers, Jerry Bridges and Sam Bridges. Morris was a member of Walls Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Harris and her husband Frank, of Matthews, and Kim Shires of Ellenboro; his brother, James Bridges of Ellenboro; his 5 grandchildren Jason Shires and his wife Barbie, Brandon Shires, Erin Bridges, Megan Bridges, and Austin Bridges; a great grandson, Elijah Christian Shires.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date when the family feels it is safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
