Millicent "Millie" Van Dyke, 88

Mrs. Millicent "Millie" Van Dyke, 88, of Golden Valley, died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Millie was the widow of Daley Van Dyke and was the daughter of the late Coy Price and Odell Brackett Price Woodring.  She was a member of Calvary's Cross Baptist Church and retired from Broughton Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Grayson  and her husband Harold, of Golden Valley; her son, Martin Van Dyke  and his wife Paulette, of Golden Valley; her sister, Blanche Turner of Bessemer City; there are 2 grandchildren, Amy Huffman and Ashley Van Dyke; and 6 great grandchildren, Garrett Huffman, Carson Huffman, Aubrie Huffman, Adam Van Dyke, Alexander Van Dyke, and Anna Van Dyke.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Calvary's Cross Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Boone will officiate. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Ashley Van Dyke, Allen Huffman, Alan Cooper, Jon Grayson, Terry Self, and Trent Self.
The Visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall following the conclusion of the graveside service.
