Mary Sue Swafford Leach, 77

Mrs. Mary Sue Swafford Leach, 77, of Bostic, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the daughter of the late Lottie Caroline Roper Swafford and William Troy Swafford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Sonny "Charley" Leach, her sister, Betty Ann Swafford, and 2 brothers, Samuel Lyle Swafford and Carl David Swafford. Mary Sue was born in Franklin, NC.
She is survived by her husband, John Winford Leach; her 3 daughters, Tonda Sue Lane and husband Scott, and Karen Renay Kiser and husband Todd, of Bostic; and Kathy Louanne Sarratt and husband Chad, of Cliffside; her 2 sons, John Tony Leach and wife Sarah of Franklin, and Samuel "Sammy" David Leach of Bostic; her 2 sisters, Martha Lou Odom of Rutherfordton, and Gladys Ruth Rowland and husband Johnny, of Franklin; her 3 brothers, Daniel Lee Swafford and wife Millie, and Joseph Troy Swafford and wife Gladys, all of Franklin, and James Raleigh Swafford and wife Mary Joe, of Rutherfordton; there are 6 grandchildren, Johnny Lee Leach of Franklin, and Christopher Allen Lane, Lindsey Nicole Beheler, Kanyon Chase Kiser, Kandra Michelle Leach, and Charles David "Charley" Leach, all of Bostic; a great grandchild, McKinley Grace Lane of Bostic; and 2 step great grandchildren, Adalyn "Addie" Beheler and Natalie "Nat" Beheler of Bostic.
The family is planning a Memorial Service for 2:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Hensley will officiate.
