Mary Ellenburg Moss, 94

Mary Ellenburg Moss, 94, of Rutherfordton, died Monday, June 9, 2025.

She was the widow of William T. Moss and a daughter of the late Henry Luther Ellenburg and Theodosha Ford Ellenburg. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Moss Bailey; her son-in-law Kenneth N. Bailey; sisters Melvina "Butch" Melton, Louise Dewey, and Martha White; her brothers, Harrison Ellenburg, Grady Ellenburg, James Ellenburg, George Ellenburg, and Willie Lee Ellenburg. She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. Mary was a seamstress for many years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Maria McCabe and her husband Shawn of Spring City, TN, and Rene' Toney and her husband Bryan of Mooresboro; her sister, Lura Wyatt; there are four great grandchildren, Caitlin Kile and her husband Noah, Blake McCabe, Alexis Grayson and Cole Grayson; and her special caregiver, Lisa Biddy.  

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2025 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Neil Murray will officiate. 

The Visitation will be from  1pm until 2:15 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
