Mary Frances Lail Wiggins, 85, of Walls Church Road, Bostic, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her residence.
Mary Frances was born in Cleveland County to the late William and Mary Beaver Lail. She moved with her family to the Walls Community at age 6. She graduated from Ellenboro High School, and was a member of Walls Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her declining health in 2004.  Over the years, she served as teacher in children's department, helped in VBS, rocked babies and in the nursery and served as secretary of envelopes.
She was no stranger to work, spending much time as a child and adult in the cotton patch. During World War II she worked in a textile plant, and during the 1960's she was employed with Dicey Mills in Shelby. She has had many hobbies over the years, such as quilting, embroidering, ceramics, gardening, reading and collecting news clippings. One of her favorite things was playing Nintendo with the grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Wiggins; her sister Bertha Lail Glover and her husband Buster; her brother Elmer Lail and his wife Maggie; her granddaughter Tammy Lynn Dyer; two nieces, Barbara Jean Glover and Mary Geneva Glover Bridges; and a nephew, Charles Lail.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Condrey Dyer and her husband Dean, of the Walls Community, Gail Condrey Leach and her husband Steve, of Mooresboro, and Cathy Wiggins Bolt and her husband Gary, of the Walls Community; seven grandchildren, Alan Dyer and his wife Rita, of Kings Mountain, Melissa Dyer Penson and her husband Jeff, Debbie Dyer, Brennah and Chloe Bolt, all of the Walls Community, Bobby Leach and his wife Sherry, of Forest City, and Chasity Leach West and her husband Doug, of Rutherfordton; seven great grandchildren, Marlena Dyer Swilling of Lancaster, SC, Kent Dyer of Forest City, Austin and Kayla Penson of the Walls Community, Jimmy and Justin Leach of Forest City, and Jacob "Jake" West of Rutherfordton; one great great grandchild, Aiden Lee Swilling of Lancaster, SC; there are three nieces, Pat Lail Page and her husband Steve, of Asheville, Betty Lail of the Walls Community, Sally Glover of Spindale, and James Glover Jr. and his wife Betty of Boiling Springs.
The Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Walls Baptist Church. Rev. David Philbeck and Rev. Sam Henderson will officiate,and Melissa Penson will provide a Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dr. Robert Toney officiating at the graveside.
The Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service, at the church.
