Martha Stacey Blanton, 80

Mrs. Martha Stacey Blanton, 80, of Bostic, died Friday, December 11, 2020.
She was the widow of Willie Nash Blanton, and a daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Barnette Stacey. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Robert, Raymond, Ralph, Roy, and Jessie Stacey; and 2 sisters, Ruth Weeks and Barbara Waddell. Martha retired from Rutherford Hospital as an LPN in the Intensive Care Unit. She was a longtime member of Sunshine United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, organized many of the church's Christmas programs and the Poor Man's Supper. Her family was very important to her and she loved Sunday lunches with her family and Christmas at the cabin.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Blanton Sisk and her husband Gene; and her son, Michael Blanton and wife Teresa, all of Bostic; a brother, Eddie Stacey and his wife Rachel of Forest City; and a sister, Marie Hensley of Bostic; there are 5 grandchildren, Sarah Blanton Edwards and husband Andy, Kimberly Blanton Smith and husband Jon, Jeremy Sisk and wife Ashley, Amy Sisk Wilkie and husband Eric, and John Sisk and his wife Savannah; 9 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter, Felicity, J.T., Harper, Zander, Jeb, Logan, and Grayson.
The family will hold a Private Graveside Service at Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Teresa Blanton officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are J.T. Sisk, Logan Smith, Grayson Smith, Zander Smith, Jeb Smith, Jeremy Sisk, John Sisk, Carter Wilkie, Eric Wilkie, Andy Edwards, and Jon Smith.
Friends may visit from 4 pm until 6 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home to sign the register book and pay their respects.
