Martha Ann Freeman, 78

Martha Ann Freeman, 78, of Bostic, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

She was the daughter of the Marvin Ownbey and Mary Jane Teseniar Ownbey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, C.J. Ownbey; and her sisters Mary Shelton, Carolyn Price, Ruby Roberts, and Sara Ruth DiMaria. Martha was a member of Golden Valley Community Church, and was a Sunday School teacher and had been President of the Ladies Circle at the church. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 58 years, Billy Freeman; her children, Troy Freeman of Ashland City, TN; Tracy Dill and her husband Marshall, and Tammie Hurdt and her husband Dennis, all of Bostic; her brothers, Kenneth Ownbey and his wife Sharlene, and Edward Ownbey and his wife Kaye, all of Forest City; her 8 grandchildren, Eric Dill and his wife Jaime, Matthew Dill, Nicholas Dill, Austin Hurdt and his wife Aubrey, Ashlynn Freeman, Billy Hurdt, Dylan Freeman, and Hannah Hurdt; there are 3 great grandchildren, Emma Dill, Ellie Dill and Henry Hurdt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be conducted at 4:00 pm Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Golden Valley Community Church, 6800 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Bostic. The Rev. Marshall Dill, Rev. Dennis Hurdt and Rev. Paul White, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Eric Dill, Matthew Dill, Nicholas Dill, Austin Hurdt, Billy Hurdt, Carson Jones, and Justin Jones. 

The Visitation will be from 2:30 pm until 3:45 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
