Margie Gettys, 84

Margie Richards Gettys, 84, of Ellenboro, died Monday, May 30, 2022. 

She was the daughter of the late Clemmie and Leila Richards. Margie was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. May 31st would have been Margie and Frank's 65th Wedding Anniversary.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Gettys; her daughter, Patricia Tipton and her husband Wayne, of Bostic; her sons, Franklin Gettys and his wife Tina, and Stephen Gettys and his wife Dana, all of Ellenboro; her sisters, Mildred Brittain of Ellenboro, and Edith Monday of Morganton; her brother, Ray Richards of Green Creek; there are 5 grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Tipton, Adam Tipton, Stephanie Haynes, Taylor Gettys, and Heather Slaton; 10 great grandchildren, Ava, Myles, Kagen, Kaine, and Saihla Tipton, Logan and Evie Haynes, Grant Gettys, Kylin Moore, and Kaisley Stephens.

A Private Burial will be conducted at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
