Louise Jones Rush, 87

Ms. Louise Jones Rush, 87, of Golden Valley, died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her residence.
She was a daughter of the late Garrett H. Jones and Omie McCurry Jones, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Carpenter, her brother Roy Jones, her nephew Ricky Jones, and her brother-in-law Ronnie Carpenter, Sr.  Louise was a 1948 Graduate of Sunshine High School, and attended Charlotte Business School.  She worked at Stonecutter Mills for 5 years, and moved to Charlotte where she worked for Douglas Aircraft and Southern Bell. She moved to Gastonia and worked at Western Sizzlin' for 15 years until her retirement in 1990.
She is survived by her sister, Dianne Hardin and her husband Ken, of Golden Valley; her sister-in-law Annie Lou Jones; her 3 nephews, Kenny and Judy Hardin, Shane and Donna Hardin, and Ronald Carpenter, Jr. and Janet; and her great nieces, Shannon Carpenter, Coley Carpenter, and Taylor Hardin.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 at First Broad Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Bradley and Rev. Kevin Towery will officiate. Tracy Faucette will provide a Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Kenny Hardin, Shane Hardin, Ronald Carpenter, Jr., James Sigmon, Shannon Jones, and Steve Brackett.
The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3 pm Thursday in the church prior to the service.
