Lona Bell Mauney, 87

Mrs. Lona Bell  Mauney, 87, of Ellenboro, died Thursday, July 21, 2016.
She was the widow of James Mauney, and daughter of the late James and Sarah Green. Bell was a member of Congregational Holiness Church of Caroleen.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Chapman and her husband Sonny, and Peggy Carnes, all of Ellenboro; and a son, Jimmy Mauney and his wife Debra, of Rutherfordton; there are 6 grandchildren, Steve Chapman and his wife Tracy, Mark Chapman and his wife Anna, James Chapman and his wife Kasey, Chris Stamey, Jeff Mauney and his wife Cathy, and Melissa Owens and her husband Jonathan; there are 9 great grandchildren, Hannah Chapman, Joanna Chapman, Kayla Burleson, Zeke Chapman, Hunter Owens, Peyton Owens, Alayna Mauney, Reva Upton, and Sierra Parker; and 1 great great grandson, Luke Upton.
The Funeral will be conducted at 11:30 am Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Congregational Holiness Church of Caroleen. The Rev. Brian Melton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sonny Chapman, Steve Chapman, James Chapman, Jeff Mauney, Jonathan Owens, Hunter Owens, and Chris Stamey will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
The Visitation will be from 10 am until 11:30 am Saturday at the church prior to the service.
