Lessie Roberson Whelchel, 68

Lessie Mae Roberson Whelchel, 68, of Bostic, passed on to Heaven on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Tom Ardel Roberson and Fannie Irene Roberson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Whelchel; her brothers Clevie Roberson and Steve Roberson. Lessie left a legacy of love and service for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Earl Whelchel; her sister Jessie Faye Roberson Pearson of Morganton; she is lovingly remembered as mom by Sherry  and Jay Corbett, Kim and Ron Cook, Mark Whelchel, Misty and Ashley Ruppe, and Dusty and Bobbi Whelchel; she was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Nick King will officiate.
