John Byron Lookadoo, 96

John Byron Lookadoo, 96, of Bostic, died Friday, June 11, 2021.
He was the son of the late James Monroe Lookadoo and Liller Lenora Brackett Lookadoo. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lookadoo Motaleb; his 5 brothers, Raymond Lookadoo, Chancey Lookadoo, Oliver Lookadoo,Claude Lookadoo and Wayne Lookadoo; and 5 sisters, Mattie Lee, Fannie Hager, Rannie Lookadoo, Lora Hutchins, and Heggie Johnson. He served in the Army Air Corp in WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Beatrice Campbell Lookadoo; his daughters, Janet Denise Lookadoo Davis and her husband Jamie, of Gastonia, and Myra Lookadoo of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Sue L. Toms of Forest City; 5 grandchildren, Elliott Motaleb, Emily Bellis, Evan Motaleb, Chelsea Smith, and Skyler Smith; there are 3 great grandchildren, Abigail Bellis, Nolan Bellis, and Everly Bellis.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, June 14, 2021 at Duncan's Creek Presbyterian Church. Rev. Kevin Rohm and Dr. Max Burgin will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Elliott Motaleb, Evan Motaleb, Mosen Motaleb, Jackson Bellis, Mike Hager, and Scott Randall.
The Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm Monday at the church  prior to the service.
