Joe Grant, 78

Joe Grant, 78, of Bostic, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

He was born on October 11, 1944 and was a son of the late Ulysses and Moree Henson Grant. Joe retired from Overnite Transportation in Gaffney, he was a US Army veteran and was a member of Walls Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodwork, racing, and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Freida Biggerstaff Grant; his daughter, Jennifer Wall and her husband Jason of Bostic; his sister, Doris Davis of Forest City; his brothers, Michael Grant of Danieltown, Bruce Grant and Roger Grant, both of Spindale, Scott Grant of Bostic, and Randy Grant of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, December 26, 2022 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Causby and Rev. David Philbeck will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Pallbearers are Tim Grant, John Grant, Dwayne Hunt, Aaron Hunt, Alex Owens, and Tony Robbins.

The Visitation will be from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm Monday at the church prior to the service.
