James Albert Jones

Mr. James Albert Jones, 84, of Sunshine, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Hospice House, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Thurman and Lillie Padgett Jones, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice Hoyle, Iona Tessenear, and Kathleen Pope, two brothers, Howard Jones and Jesse Jones. He was a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church where he served in various church positions over the years; was retired from Burlington Mills and attended the Rutherford Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Toney Jones; a daughter, Cindy Ledbetter of Nebo; two sons, Jimmy Jones of Marion, and Davey Jones of Mooresboro; a sister, Hazel Chapman of Union Mills; there are ten grandchildren,Lori Godfrey and her husband Mike, Caleb Jones and his wife Jamie, Joshua Jones and his wife Stephanie, Rebekah Tilson and her husband Michael, Jared Elliott and his wife Andrea, Lydia Jones, Lesly Gibbon and her husband Andy, Dawn Watts and her husband LJ, Brandon Revis and fiancee Wiley McNeely, and Kristin Revis; there are five great grandchildren, Wyatt Godfrey, Destiny Jones, Gabriel Jones, Dylan Edwards, Zoey Tilson, Brennan Spencer, Ty Spencer,  and Jace Gibbon.
The Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Mount Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Eugene Passmore will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6pm until 8 pm Tuesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
