Hazel Burnett Jackson

Mrs. Hazel Burnett Jackson, 82, of Whiteside Road, Rutherfordton, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Willow Ridge.
She was the daughter of the late Ray and Leah Queen Burnett, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Francis Carver; and six brothers, Boyd, Howard, Bob, Cecil, Frank, and Billy Burnett; and a great grandson, Joshua Hoyle. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and retired textile employee, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Boyce Jackson; three daughters,Susan Philbeck and her husband Britt, of Bostic,  Barbara Bennett and her husband Johnny Sr, and Debra Mauney and her husband Jimmy, all of Rutherfordton; two sisters, Margaret Burnett Baynard and Pauline Burnett Moore, both of Forest City: there are six grandchildren, Brenda Philbeck, Dana Dobbins and her husband Marty, Donna Hoyle and her husband Steve, Jeff Mauney and his wife Cathy, Johnny Bennett and his wife Brenda, and Melissa Owens and her husband Jonathan; there are ten great grandchildren, Dusty Carpenter and his wife Amanda, Kaityln Philbeck, Kyle, Adam, and Breanna Dobbins, Morgan and Skyler Hoyle, Natalie and Summer Bennett,and Hunter Owens; there are two step great grandchildren, Seairra and Reva Parker; there is a great great grandchild, Wesley Carpenter, and a step great great grandchild, Ethan Gamble.
The Funeral will be held a 2:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Terry White and Rev. Ed Rogers will officiate. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Dusty Carpenter, Jonathan Owens, Steve Hoyle, Jeff Mauney, Kyle Dobbins, and Johnny Bennett.
The Visitation will be from 7 pm until 9 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
