Guy Walter Melton, 90
Mr. Guy Walter Melton, 90, of Bostic, died Thursday, April 16, 2020.
He was the son of the late Leo and Bertha Melton, and was also preceded in death by his son Steve Melton. Guy was a member of Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church for over 70 years, and had served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Colene Sisk Melton; a son, Doug Melton and wife Wendy, of Broadway; three daughters, Judy Crotts and her husband Barry, and Jo Ann Taylor, both of Shelby, and Janice Stankiewicz and husband Bill, of Raleigh; there are 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at the Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Guy will lie in state from 1 pm until 5 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home for friends who would like to come by and sign the register book.
