Guy Harold Grayson
Mr. Guy Harold Grayson, 86, of 203 Redbud Lane, Golden Valley, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Grady and Mamie Toney Grayson, and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Dale and Beth Grayson. He was a Deacon at Fairview Baptist Church, a WWII Navy veteran, and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after 29 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Oates Grayson; two sons, Harold Grayson and Bob Grayson, both of Golden Valley; three sisters, Ruth Gurley of Golden Valley, Evelyn Brewer and Hazel Dale, both of Glen Alpine; three grandsons, Calder Grayson, Jon Grayson, and Chris Grayson; a great grandson, Ethan Grayson.
The Funeral will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Fairview Baptist Church.Rev. Gary Smith and Rev. John Ware will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday at Fairview Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
