Gertrude "Trudy" Towery, 96

Gertrude "Trudy" Towery, 96, of Broadway, NC, formerly of Sunshine, died Sunday, November 15, 2020.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma Towery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Hastings, Elizabeth Freeman, and Dorothy Wood; and 2 of her brothers, Junior Towery and Bobby Towery. Trudy was retired from PPG, and was a member of Sunshine United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Magill and her husband George, of Broadway, NC; her brother, Fred Towery of Broadway; there are 4 grandchildren, Wendy Melton and husband Doug, and Nancy Patterson and husband T.J., all of Broadway, Tracy Magill and wife Tammy, of Lillington, NC, and Paul Magill and wife Heather, of Sanford, NC; there are 10 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Keys Pendleton will officiate. Pallbearers are T.J. Patterson, Doug Melton, and Tracy Magill.
Following the graveside service, a visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall.
