Georgia Kathleen Pittman, 92

Mrs. Georgia Kathleen Jones Pittman, 92, of Bostic, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her children.
She was born November 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Sally and Charley Jones. She was the widow of Ray Pittman, Sr, who died in 1998, and was also preceded in death by her sisters, Erma Lee Melton and Louise Martin; her brothers, Russell Jones and Joe Jones; and a son-in-law Joey Hanson. Kathleen loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren - they were her greatest joy in life and loved spending time with them and they all loved her deeply.
She is survived by her son, Ray Pittman, Jr. and wife Freida, of Bostic; her daughters, Carolyn Hanson of Spindale, and Pat Penson and husband Steve, of Forest City; there are 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church Bostic Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Church will officiate. Pallbearers are David Pittman, Bradley Pittman, Steve Penson, Jr., Jimmy Searcy, Timmy Dale, Jimmy Gordon, and Drew Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers are Colin Searcy and Clay Gordon.
The Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service prior to the graveside service.
