Freda Mae Brown Padgett, 78, of Bostic, died Saturday, September 25, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Alice Brown, and was also preceded in death by grandsons Blake and Brandon Wright. Freda was a member of First Baptist Church of Bostic for 48 years, and had retired from Sara Lee Knit Products.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Padgett Sr.; her daughter, Sherri Silver and her husband Scott, of Rutherfordton; her sons, Jerry Clyde Whiteside and his wife Norma, and Jody Wright, all of Forest City, John Whiteside of Bostic, and Jason Padgett and his wife Michelle, of Ellenboro; her stepsons, Roger Padgett and his wife Lisa, of Ellenboro, and Norman Padgett, Jr. of Arizona; her sisters, Barbara Gosnell and her husband Francis, of Landrum, and Brenda Oursler and her husband C.G., of Chesnee; a brother, Billy Brown of Bostic; there are 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at First Baptist of Bostic Cemetery. Rev. Mike Frazier and Rev. Clay Earle will officiate.
Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
