Fred Towery, 80
Fred Herman Towery, 80, of Broadway, NC, formerly of Sunshine, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Liberty Commons of Lee County.
He was the son of the late Robert and Emma Towery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gertrude "Trudy" Towery, Shirley Hastings, Elizabeth Freeman, and Dorothy Wood; his brothers, Junior Towery and Bobby Towery. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the former Sunshine United Methodist Church.
Fred is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Sunshine Church(formerly Sunshine United Methodist) Cemetery. The Rev. Keys Pendleton will officiate.
Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
