Frances Robbins, 90

Frances Jackson Robbins, 90, of Forest City, died Monday, July 26, 2021.
She was the widow of Chester Franklin Robbins, and a daughter of the late Benjamin and Carol Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margie Wells, Vergie Pittman, and Shirley Walker; her brother, Everette Jackson, and 2 infant brothers, Clifford and Clyde Jackson. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church for 85 years, and was former WMU Director, sang in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher, a church Historian, and served on the decorating/interior committee. She served on the Lady's Auxillary at Rutherford Hospital and was a volunteer at Yokefellow Center. She retired after 32 years at Duke Power. Frances loved to travel, and Israel was her favorite destination.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Davis of Forest City, and Katherine Hartley and her husband Joe, of Rutherfordton; her son, John F. Robbins and his wife Tamara, of Spindale; there are 5 grandchildren, Brian Davis, Breanne Walker, Allison Carter and her husband Blake, Elizabeth Childers and her husband Jesse, and John "Chess" Robbins and his wife Brandi; her great grandchildren, Savannah Davis, Lauren Davis, Jenna Davis, Christian Walker, Maddie Walker, Cameran Walker, Madison McCraw, Aleya Smathers, Brynlee Carter, Easton Robbins, Wyatt Robbins, Emerson Robbins, Elisha Pruett, Abigail Childers, and Jaycob Hawkins; there is one great great grandchild, Beckham Davis. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, and her beloved Duke Power girls.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Southern Baptist Church. The Rev. Peter Surran will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Davis, Christian Walker, Jaycob Hawkins, Blake Carter, Chess Robbins, and Jesse Childers.
The Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm Thursday at the church prior to the service.
