Dudley H. Towery, 86
Mr. Dudley H. Towery, 86, of Bostic, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Fair Haven Home, Forest City.
He was the son of the late Benjamin and Blanche Greene Towery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Carson Lowe Towery; his sister, Mozelle Towery Jones; 3 brothers, Earl Towery, Ralph "Butch" Towery, and Herman Towery. He was a retired contract administrator, a Navy Veteran of Korea, a member of the American Legion, and was a faithful member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Dudley loved being an outdoorsman, and was an avid hunter and golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Maude Louise Toney Towery; his 3 sons, Robert Towery of Erie, CO, Dale Towery of Kemmerer, WY, and Brian Towery of Overton, NV; his stepson, Wayne Beaver of Hollis; his 2 brothers, Robert Towery of Austin, TX, and Gene Towery of Davie, FL; there are 7 grandchildren, Katie, Travis, Desiree, Bridget, Derek, Cassandra, and Jimmy; a step granddaughter, Jessica Campbell; and 17 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Steven Cooper and Rev. Eugene Passmore will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Palm Mortuary on Eastern, Las Vegas, NV.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorials for Dudley to be please be made to a charity of your choice.
