Dr. Jeffrey Blake Keller, 64
Dr. Jeffrey Blake Keller, 64, of Ellenboro, formerly of Avery County, died Friday, February 21, 2020.
Jeff was the son of Hattie Wiseman Keller of Ellenboro, and the late Lowell J. Keller. He was a retired Gastroenterologist with his practice in central Florida until his retirement in North Carolina. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, and member of ASGE and American College of Gastroenterology. In his retirement he enjoyed farming and ASU football games, and fishing and camping in Canada. He was a 1973 graduate of Avery High School, Appalachian State Class of 1977, and a graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine Class of 1982.
He is survived by his wife, Mollie Keller; his 2 sons, Joseph Blake Keller of Lake Mary, FL, and US Army Staff Sergeant Aaron Bryan Keller of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Cynthia Keller-Porter and husband Andy of Beech Mtn; his aunts, Linda Rumbaugh of Clearmont, FL, and Charlotte Keller of Vero Beach, FL; and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Fletchers Chapel in Newland. The Rev. Roger Wise will officiate.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Wednesday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beaver College of Health Sciences, ASU Box 32170, Boone, NC 28608.
