Douglas James Van Dyke, 52

Mr. Douglas James Van Dyke, 52, of Golden Valley, died Friday, June 30, 2017.
He was the son of James Van Dyke of Golden Valley, and the late Vangie Queen Van Dyke. Douglas was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was active with church softball; a member of the Hunting Bow Association and he  loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his 4 daughters, Jessica Van Dyke, Joni Van Dyke, Anna Van Dyke Blackwell and husband Jamie, and Railey Van Dyke, all of Golden Valley; a stepson, Jordan Pruett of Golden Valley; his 2 sisters, Nancy McCurry, and Wanda V. Smith and husband Morris, of Golden Valley; there are 7 grandchildren, Kaylee Kay Hunt, Lylli Smith, Jonathan Hunt, Dalton Blackwell, Bella Keeter, Dominic Pruett, and Peyton Pruett; his special companion, Michelle Bridges and her children; his nieces and nephews, Vanda McCurry Withers, Derek Smith, Tiffany Smith, Kala McCurry Bailey, Dustin Smith, Kara McCurry, Malachi Smith, Amos Bailey, and Nehemiah Smith.
The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, July 3, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. David Ledford, Rev. Kevin Towery, and Rev. Kenneth Queen will officiate. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Dalton Blackwell, Derek Smith, Dustin Smith, Terry Self, Stacey Hudson, Danny Jones, Don Melton, William Crump, and Justin Jones.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8:30 pm Sunday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service.
