Donald Ray Davis, 77
Mr. Donald Ray Davis, 77, of Ellenboro, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at Fair Haven Home, Bostic.
He was the son of the late Lake and Pauline Sisk Davis. Donald retired from the NC Department of Corrections Spindale Unit, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He loved to garden and swing outside.
He is survived by his son Terry Davis and wife Lori, of Bostic; his 3 daughters, Tammie Davis Stone and husband Lynn, of Ellenboro, Sheila Davis Goforth and fiancée Jeff Dale, and Jennifer Davis Goode and husband Donnie, all of Forest City; his sister, Martha Hamrick of Bostic; his brother, Kenneth Davis of Belmont; his good friend Frances Merck; his 6 grandchildren, Michael Bowen, Chris Doggett, Chad Doggett, Shane Davis, Jody Davis, and Ashley Greco; there are 13 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Sam Henderson will officiate. Urn burial will follow at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
