Donald Poole

Donald Dean "Don" Poole, of Ellenboro, died Friday, February 2, 2024.

He was the widower of Phyllis K. Poole and a son of the late Jimmie & Lima Beaver Poole. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Poole Jones; and 3 brothers, J.F. Poole, H.S. Poole, and Harold Poole. Don was a member of Walls Baptist Church, the Plott Hound Association and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his son, Roger Short of Forest City; his sisters, Lillian Toney of Ellenboro, and Janet Honeycutt and her husband Keith, of Mooresboro; his brother, Sonny Poole and his wife Lois, of Ellenboro; a grandson; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Walls Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Causby will officiate.
