Dona Hudson Causby

Mrs. Dona Hudson Causby, 96, of 265 Roy Goins Road, Rutherfordton, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Henderson Care Center.
She was the widow of John Freelin Causby, and daughter of the late Joe & Venia Newton Hudson and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joe M. Causby.  She was a member of Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church, where she had been active in her Sunday School class.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Causby Stacey of Ellenboro; three sons, Johnny Freelin Causby of Monroe, GA, Joe Mills Causby  of Ellenboro, and Howard Crayton Causby of Gastonia; nine surviving grandchildren, John Kevin Causby, John Dennis Causby, Robert Bradley Causby, William Gene Stacey, Alan Todd Stacey, Shannon Causby Shuler, Shane Causby, Arthur L. Causby, and John R. Causby.
The Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Padgett and Rev.R.L. Jeffords,Sr. will officiate. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home, and at other times the family will gather at the residence of the Evelyn Stacey, at 409 Burns Road, Ellenboro.
