Mrs. Dianne Allen Stockton, 66, of Ellenboro, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the daughter of the late M.G. and Margaret Louise Melton Allen, and was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Allen Taylor, a sister, Brenda Jean Allen, and a brother, Robert Lawrence Allen, Sr. She was retired from REMC after 35 years of service, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Dianne was able to provide a tissue donation after death that will contribute to cancer research at UNC Chapel Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Stockton; a daughter, Kellie Taylor Fender and her husband Johnny, of Ellenboro; a son, John Eric Taylor and his wife Sherry, of Forest City; three stepdaughters, Julie Stockton of Boiling Springs,NC, Lena Duncan of Columbus, and Emmie Stockton of Myrtle Beach, SC; two stepsons, Tommy Stockton of Lattimore, and Sammy Stockton of Concord; a brother, Larry G. Allen of Ellenboro; six grandchildren, Wesley White and his wife Kori, Kristen White, Hilary White, Samantha Taylor, Matthew Taylor, and Dillon Huffman; three great grandchildren, Rylan White, Brynn White, and Evan Groves; there are 7 step grandchildren.
The Funeral will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. David Jendrey and Rev. Ad Hopper will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 1:45 pm until 3:45 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
