Denise Wood Poteat, 65
Mrs. Denise Wood Poteat, 65, of Bostic, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her residence.
She was the daughter of Dorothy Wood of Forest City, and the late Eatheron Wood. Denise loved her Facebook friends, and was a member of Sunshine United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years..
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, George W. Poteat,Jr.; her son, Paul William Poteat of Charlotte; her 2 daughters in heart, Lisa Hamrick of Rutherfordton, and Pam Poteat of Forest City; her sister, Sharon Morgan of Icard; there are 3 grandchildren, Carson Killough, Bailey Killough, and Brice Hamrick; and one great grandchild, Payton Trotter.
No formal services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunshine United Methodist Church, in care of Treasurer Marilyn Butler, 106 Pearl H Drive, Bostic, NC 28018.
