Debbie Tisdale Bowman, 70

Debra "Debbie" Tisdale Bowman, 70, of Hickory, died Saturday, November 5, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late George and Vonnell Tisdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Susan Tisdale. She began a career in education in 1975 and spent 36 years in the classroom. Through her personality and role as an art teacher with Catawba County Schools, she touched and inspired the lives of many. She retired from Maiden High School in 2011.

She leaves behind her life partner, Chuck Howse; her nephews Tyler Greene(Kelly McCoy) and Matt Greene(Kristen); and her great niece and nephews, Kenton Greene, Jaxson Greene, Avery Greene, and Maddox Greene.

A visitation will be held from 3 pm until 5 pm Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.

A Celebration Of Life will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the VFW Post 1957, 1615  12th Street Drive NW, Hickory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Catawba County, PO Box 63, Hickory, NC 28603, or The American Breast Cancer Foundation, or the American Lung Association.
