David Harold "Big Boy" Bivens, 70
Mr. David Harold "Big Boy" Bivens, 70, of Forest City, died Thursday, October 24, 2019.
He was the son of the late Grover and Ivis Wilson Bivens, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Bivens Harris, and 2 brothers, Marvin Bivens and Wayne Bivens. David had worked with several Nascar teams for a period of over 20 years.
He is survived by a sister, Martha McCurry of Golden Valley; a brother, John Garland Bivens and wife Betty, of the Mt. Vernon Community; a sister-in-law, Pat Bivens; a brother-in-law, Johnny Mack Harris, Sr; and 11 nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Loyce Snider and the Rev. Harold Thompson will officiate. Pallbearers are Coy McCurry, Marty Thomas, Billy Smith, Thad Garrison, Mike Conner, and Steven Hardin.
The Visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm Saturday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
