Daniel R. Dalton

Mr. Daniel R. Dalton, 77, US Hwy 64 Rutherfordton, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Daniel was the son of the late Sam and Maudie Painter Dalton, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia England; a sister, Granada Dalton, and three brothers, Arwine O. Dalton, Adrian Dalton, and Purnell Dalton. He was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Drexel Heritage.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Dalton; his daughter, Wanda Owens and her husband Julius, of Rutherfordton; two stepsons, Steve Jaynes of Ellenboro, and Joey Jaynes of Franklin, WV; three brothers, Burin Dalton of Rutherfordton, Denton Dalton of Forest City, and O'Neill Dalton of Morganton; there are two grandsons, Michael Owens and his wife Candy, of Rutherfordton, and Josh Owens and his wife Jennifer, of Bostic; there are four great grandchildren, Chris Owens, Adam Owens, Jacob Owens, and Taylor Lawing.
The Funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Fork Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Cogdell and Rev. Troy Dorsey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
