Mrs. Daisy Toney Murray, 89, of Bostic, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Hospice House, Forest City.
She was the widow of Boyd Murray, and daughter of the late Wilkie and Bertha Campbell Toney. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, and retired from Tanner Companies after 40 years of service. She also was a dairy farmer for 50 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Ramsey, Susie Short Henson, and Nellie Jean Long, all of Bostic; three sons, Glenn Murray, Danny Lee Murray, and Fay Murray, all of Bostic; two sisters, Maude Beaver Towery of Forest City, and Mary Jones of Bostic; four brothers, Dewey Toney and Carl Toney, both of Bostic, Floyd Toney of Winston-Salem, and Larry Toney of Polk County; 21 Grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Paul White, Jr. and Rev. Kenneth Kanipe will officiate. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Friday at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home.
