Charlie Lewis, 73

Charles Raymond "Charlie" Lewis, 73, of Ellenboro, died Friday, July 31, 2026.

He is the son of Pauline Lewis of Cumberland, MD and the late Chuck Lewis. Charlie served many years as a magistrate in Rutherford County. He was a US Marines veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Toney Lewis; his daughters, Taylor Lewis of Ellenboro, and Erin Lewis Suddreth and her husband Jacob, of Lenoir; his special friend, Lydia Arrowood; his sister, Kathy Brubaker and her husband Frank, of Cumberland, MD; his brother, Bruce Lewis  and his wife Ellen of Milford, Delaware. 

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Washburn & Dorsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Conner and Rev. Ad Hopper will officiate. Following the service, the Rutherford County Honor Guard will render military rites on the grounds of the funeral home.

The Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 4:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
